Westside A Cappella Group Forming
David, an experienced amateur singer, is looking to form a small mixed vocal jazz group based in the Santa Monica / Venice
/ West Los Angeles area, perhaps 4-12 singers – not looking for professional musicians, just people who love to sing.
Sight-singing ability is terrific but not required. The meeting place and time, and any other logistic considerations,

AUDITIONS
Pacific Sound, that small, and very high-quality Barbershop Harmony-rooted
chorus that meets in Ventura , is looking for new singers.
2006 was a great year, winning awards, performing in public over 10 times, including their first-ever
qualification for the Barbershop Harmony International Competition in July. Plans for 2007 include more public shows
in both Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties , competition again, the recording of possibly two new CD’s, and the likelihood
of a European concert tour in the Fall.
The current performance roster numbers just 25 and the plan is to grow to 40, with no decrease
in quality, by the summer. The month of February is dedicated to new member auditions. We are looking for experienced
male singers of any age. Previous ensemble experience is desirable and helpful.
Currently the members for this highly entertaining chorus, come from a radius of over 100 miles
traveling each Monday to rehearsals in Ventura . Car pools exist from Bakersfield , San Luis Obispo and the San Fernando
Valley , joining the bulk of the membership who reside in Ventura , Santa Barbara , Camarillo and Simi Valley . The
chorus has all the current repertoire on learning CD’s and all new music is introduced with complete learning aides.
Rehearsals start promptly at 7:30 and meetings are held every Monday at the Ventura Adult Education
Center , Room 104, 5200 Valentine Road , Ventura . Interested singers should contact Barry Liker at 805-696-9510, or

With over 100 voices, this six-time international gold medal winning chorus challenges
members to polish their singing and performance skills while giving back to community,
educational and music programs across southern California . Members from LA, Orange and Riverside counties carpool to rehearsals every Wednesday evening
in Santa Fe Springs near the intersection of the 5 and the 605 freeways).

Vox Lunch is looking for a vocal drummer. They're a five-member band who covers pop/R&B
that sings for the joy of singing and the joy we can bring to others. We do covers of artists ranging from Aretha Franklin
to Fiona Apple. We rehearse 1-2 times a week in North Hollywood and gig 1-2 times per month at clubs, private homes, country
clubs, and hotels around L.A. If you can also sing, that's a plus. If you write and/or arrange, even better, but not required.

VOX FEMINA LOS ANGELES--AUDITION FOR OUR 10th ANNIVERSARY SEASON!
Vox Femina Los Angeles, a
premier women's choral ensemble directed by Dr. Iris S. Levine, will be holding auditions for the 2006-07 season during the
evenings of August 22 and 29, 2006. In addition to the three major concerts comprising the group's scheduled season, VFLA
performs at various community events throughout the year. Music is selected from diverse musical styles, with an emphasis
